Booking
We recommend booking at least 4–8 weeks in advance for most events. For peak season dates (May–October for weddings, November–January for corporate events), booking 3–6 months ahead ensures you get your preferred date. That said, we do accommodate last-minute bookings — if your event is within 8 days, call us directly at +1 (954) 386-4500 for priority handling.
Your date is officially secured once we've received your signed digital agreement and your 70% deposit payment. Until both are received, the date remains available to other clients. We'll send you the contract within 24 hours of your booking request.
Absolutely. We regularly handle multi-city tours and event series. Multi-date bookings are arranged through a single agreement and may qualify for package pricing. Contact us directly to discuss your tour needs and we'll build a custom quote.
Cancellations made 30 or more days before your event are eligible for a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 30 days of the event forfeit the deposit, as we would have turned away other bookings. We always try to work with clients on postponements — life happens, and we understand that.
Yes, we handle postponements on a case-by-case basis and try to accommodate date changes wherever possible. If your new date is available and the change is made with reasonable notice, your deposit typically rolls over to the new date. Just reach out as soon as you know — the earlier the better.
Yes, every booking requires a signed digital agreement. This protects you and us. The contract covers performance details, setlist commitments, timeline, payment schedule, and cancellation terms. It takes under 2 minutes to sign digitally and we send it via email after your booking request is received.
Pricing
Everything. The $6,275 base rate includes 3 professional musicians, a full 4-hour performance window, our professional PA sound system, travel to your location anywhere in the US or Canada, setup, and breakdown. There are no hidden fees layered on top of this.
None. What we quote is what you pay. Travel, sound system, setup, and breakdown are all included. The only additional costs are things you specifically choose to add: extra musicians (+$550 each) or overtime extensions (+$350 per 30 minutes, if available on the day).
No. Travel is always included in our flat rate, regardless of where your event is located within the US or Canada. Alaska and Hawaii are included. We handle the logistics — you just tell us where to show up.
We consider non-profit and charity requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly with details about your organisation and event, and we'll do our best to find a way to make it work.
If you'd like to extend our performance, overtime is available at $350 per 30-minute extension, subject to availability on the day. We'll always let you know if our schedule allows it. On wonderful nights, we've been known to keep playing at no extra charge — but we can never guarantee it, so please don't count on it in your planning.
Logistics
We typically arrive 90–120 minutes before the performance start time to set up and soundcheck. For larger venues or complex setups, we may coordinate an earlier arrival with your venue or event coordinator. We always confirm the arrival time well in advance during our pre-event call.
Yes, always. We bring a complete professional PA system including speakers, monitors, mixing board, microphones, and all cabling. We do not depend on the venue's in-house system, though we can integrate with it if preferred. Our setup works equally well indoors and outdoors.
For a 3-piece setup, we need approximately 10×12 feet of clear stage or performance space. A 5-piece setup requires around 14×16 feet. We'll confirm space requirements with your venue coordinator during planning and are flexible about working within unusual spaces — we've performed in some very creative locations!
Yes. We regularly perform at outdoor events — garden weddings, pool parties, rooftop events, festival stages, and more. We're experienced with outdoor acoustics and weather challenges. For outdoor events, we ask that a covered area or canopy be available in case of rain, and that power access is within 50 feet of the performance area.
We require two standard 20-amp, 110V circuits within 50 feet of the performance area. Most venues have this as standard. If your venue has unusual power availability, let us know in advance and we'll find a solution — we've performed at venues with generator power and other non-standard setups.
Yes, we perform throughout Canada. We handle all necessary permits, work authorisations, and border documentation ourselves. For Canadian bookings, we recommend securing your date at least 6 weeks in advance to allow adequate preparation time. The process is smooth and routine for us — our Canadian clients have never experienced border-related issues.
Music
Absolutely. Song requests are a core part of what we do. You can share a must-play list, a do-not-play list, and general preferences during the planning process. For special songs like first dances or ceremony pieces, we typically ask for at least 3 weeks' notice so we can prepare a polished arrangement.
Our core repertoire spans jazz, soul, R&B, funk, Motown, Top 40, pop, and classic rock. We also play Latin styles, reggae, gospel, and more on request. We've learned Bollywood arrangements, blues standards, and bespoke fusion sets for themed events. If you have a specific sound in mind, talk to us — we're more versatile than you might think.
This is one of our specialties. We read the room throughout the performance and transition naturally between dinner-ambiance playing and high-energy dance sets. Your event coordinator can also give us signals to shift energy at specific moments — like announcing dinner, opening the dance floor, or a toast. We've done this hundreds of times and the transitions are always seamless.
Light MC duties are included — introducing sets, prompting first dances, and coordinating key moments. For events that require extensive MC services (running an awards show, managing a complex programme, etc.), we recommend a dedicated MC. We're happy to refer trusted professionals we've worked with.
If it exists and has a recording, we can learn it. Our musicians are highly trained and pick up new material quickly. For truly obscure songs or unusual arrangements, we ask for at least 4 weeks' notice and may charge a small arrangement fee. Please don't hesitate to ask — the answer is usually yes.
Payments
We accept wire transfers (with a 10% discount — we cover all wire fees), personal and business checks, Zelle, and PayPal. If you have a preferred payment method not listed, just reach out — our accounts team will confirm available options with you by phone or email.
We use a simple two-payment structure: 70% deposit is due when you sign the agreement (this secures your date), and the remaining 30% balance is due on the day of your event, before the performance begins. We'll send an invoice for each payment.
Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations made 30 or more days before the event. Cancellations within 30 days of the event forfeit the deposit. This is because we decline other bookings for your date once your deposit is received.
Yes. After booking, you'll receive a link to our secure upload portal where you can submit your wire transfer confirmation. We verify and apply the payment within one business day. You can also email your confirmation directly to [email protected] with your booking reference number.
Yes, every payment receives a formal invoice and receipt. These are sent to your email address and can also be downloaded from our booking system. Corporate clients requiring specific invoice formats (PO numbers, specific billing addresses, etc.) should let us know at the time of booking.
